 – resulted from a merger of the two companies Jazz and Vaion. This meant they had to find a way to merge identities, cultures, and products. How could we communicate this, as well as communicate the offering – a safe and secure everyday-life to for ordinary people through the products and brand?

The design is clean and minimal to express the company's Scandinavian roots. Everything is smooth and friendly-looking, so Ava's security cameras appear less menacing than traditional surveillance equipment.

Sketches

Aside from being streamlined, EGGS helped design Ava's surveillance cameras to be robust, waterproof, and easy to install. We've optimised their installation by ensuring the camera assembly and cable management are safe and intuitive, even when mounted high up. The aluminium camera casings are vandal-proof and highly durable, and in either a black or white matt finish, they are intended to be unobtrusive yet smart-looking.

We assisted Ava throughout the process–from facilitation and co-creation of the brand core, 

, and visual identity all the way to the design and engineering of the products themselves. We worked closely with the client to future-proof and ensure a holistic and integrated user experience of the products, services, and the Ava Security brand - a modern global company with Scandinavian values and heritage. This, together with its friendly and empathetic user focus, is an integral part of the

When creating the Ava brand, we have focused on the service that Ava Security offers – a safe and secure everyday life for ordinary people. This means we have put people in the centre of the brand and ensured that both the visual identity and the products themselves reflect this people-centric approach. This can be seen both in the choice of colours, softer shapes, and a conscious step away from the traditional "military" look of security systems.

Ava’s logo and design elements are developed from heritage design elements from the former Jazz and Vaion identities. The curves and elliptic details are found in our physical products and existing brand identities. The Ava logo and pattern elements are derived from this, building continuity and uniqueness throughout our product and solution range.

The company logo is beneath an upwards swooping divide, mirroring the product and becoming a natural part of the design.

When developing the visual identity and supporting elements, we ensured the products themselves were an integral brand expression. We used curves and design cues from the products to create a dynamic, premium, consistent look throughout. That way, the visuals don't compete with the products. Instead, they enhance and complement them and, together, reinforce the brand.

A well-designed brand identity sets the stage for products and services to speak for themselves. This was EGGS' goal when designing Ava Security's surveillance cameras.
