DIP funding: Supporting innovation through design

The Design-driven Innovation Program (DIP) provides financial support to companies so they can involve designers early in the ideation phase of innovation projects. By bringing in designers at the start, there's a greater likelihood of developing products or services that meet the actual needs of users – and ultimately succeed. DIP recipients were announced on October 21, 2024, and the next opportunity to apply for funding will be in spring 2025.

Addressing complexities in humidity monitoring

Effective humidity monitoring can extend the lifespan of buildings by decades and save millions of kroner. However, installing humidity sensors is currently a complex process, requiring collaboration and knowledge from many different actors in the construction industry.

EGGS’ role in simplifying the customer journey

Sensor Innovation, based in Verdal, aims to remove the current bottlenecks and make it easier to install sensors correctly. To achieve this, the tech company has engaged EGGS, part of Sopra Steria, to lead a design process that will study users and simplify the customer journey.

A scalable, self-serve solution for multiple users

The goal is to create a more self-service and automated solution that can be easily installed and used by a variety of professionals and end customers. At the same time, Sensor Innovation plans to scale production capacity to 100,000 sensors annually.

Sensor Innovation has received 450,000 NOK in DIP funding from DOGA for this project.

Sensor Innovation receives DIP funding for automated humidity monitoring
