Peter Munthe Kaas, Center for Design, Innovation and Sustainable Transition, Aalborg University Copenhagen At the event, we will share with you how municipalities can move towards more sustainable and holistic urban development whilst ensuring user needs. It is all about daring to experiment with the goal of learning.
Øystein Berge, Economist, Cowi What does the future of transportation and mobility in the city look like? You’ll learn about different future scenarios and suggested actions to ensure that new technologies will make cities better for its citizens and the environment. It is all about seeing transport and mobility as a service.
Beth Stensen, Leader New Services, Ruter Ruter has set the ambitious goal of being a mobility provider that by 2021, enables freedom of movement for the inhabitants of Oslo and Akershus – without the use of privately owned cars. This change in how people choose their means of transport requires a considerable change in behaviour, not only for the residents of Oslo and Akershus, but also for how Ruter as a company is organised, and how the staff works. Ruter is using elements of design thinking as the approach, and Beth will share openly and frankly how this transition is going.

Johan Høgåsen-Hallesby, CTO, Urban Sharing Once a start-up, now a thriving established company, Urban Sharing, the company behind the city bikes of Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen and Edinburgh will share how sustainability creates new user needs and business opportunities within urban mobility.
Helle Moen, Head of Sustainability, EGGS Design We will share with you how you can go from the talking to the walking. The sustainability goals the ultimate starting point for the design of meaningful, sustainable innovations that also mean good business. How can you use your powers to influence a more sustainable business future?
Jørgen Solstad, Business Designer, EGGS Design To round it all off we will share how designers are increasingly contributing to the design of business itself. The application of creativity to imagine new value, methodology to structure complex ecosystems, and skills to visualize desired future outcomes are imperative in the hunt for new sustainable value. At the event we will demonstrate to you how the ability of design to achieve this through the lens of the start-up Loadsmart.
