Enabling smart and sustainable innovation
With growing populations and growing cities, efficient mobility and logistics systems are key to sustainable development. Transport, of both people and goods, are complex systems, with many stakeholders and increasing demands for flexibility, digitalisation, more sustainable operations, and increased collaboration. EGGS can contribute to this as facilitators and by designing new and relevant service- and partnership offerings.
As we re-invent and re-imagine our cities and the infrastructure in society, we need to take into consideration the increasing demands for flexible and adaptable solutions, digitalisation and sustainability. When mobility, logistics players and institutions are able to collaborate and utilise new technology in flexible ways, we can create concepts such as smart traffic lights and street lights, flexible public transport routes and automated logistics. Moreover, mobility, transport and logistics ecosystems are highly complex systems with many stakeholders involved – from public institutions and regulations to private operators, service suppliers, logistics companies and users. Hence, it’s crucial to cater for collaboration and partnerships in the innovation process.
Individualisation
Sustainability and changing regulations
Blockchain and new payment mechanisms
Automation, AI and AR Sharing economy
Innovation requires methodology, a systematic approach, collaboration and a clear focus on the user. This is where EGGS can be useful. We have extensive experience working with complex projects and multiple stakeholders within urban mobility, public transportation, ports and logistics.
By making use of our hands-on design skills and tech know-how, combined with insights and a strategic approach, we can help create concrete solutions for digitalisation, logistics, and sustainable services. We use the insights to develop useful, digital and desirable solutions that cater to the users’ needs.
Projects within mobility and logistics can be overwhelmingly complex. EGGS has worked with numerous successful projects using a systems-oriented design approach to deal with complexity. By exploring relevant landscapes of infrastructure, interconnections, technology, regulations and stakeholder needs, we find synergies and create holistic solutions to complex problems. For this, we count on in-house design expertise for both physical and digital services and products.
